The best of both worlds

One of the most common problems we were asked has been what would happen when olive oil is heated and used for frying?

The most important thing about any cooking oil is not to heat over its smoke point. The smoke point refers to the temperature at which a cooking fat or oil begins to break down, thus giving the food an unpleasant taste.

The International Olive Council is the only intergovernmental organization that brings together stakeholders for production and consumption of olive oil.

According to the International Olive Oil Council:

When heated, olive oil is the most stable type of fat, meaning that it can withstand high frying temperatures. Its high smoking point(410˚F or 210˚C)is much higher than the ideal temperature for fried food(365˚F or 180˚C). When heated, the digestibility of olive oil is unaffected, even when it is used repeatedly for frying.

All types of Blu Estate olive oil are refined by cold pressing technology.

This means that there is no heating during the production process. This would be able to maintain its original flavor and nutritional value without the need for solvents or chemicals. In this way, you can enjoy 100% pure virgin olive oil without additives or preservatives.

There are numerous health benefits of olive oil and are well known.

The Mediterranean diet culture values the incidence of heart and cardiovascular disease, and also focuses on blood pressure and blood lipid levels.

Edible olive oil can also achieve a long-lasting weight loss compared to a low-fat diet, which is beneficial to the stomach, pancreas, intestines and strengthens the immune system.
